When your daughter laughs, she has this little way of scrunching up her nose and squinting her eyes. When your son smiles (the real one, not the "say cheese" one), he gets a dimple in his left cheek. The way your brand new baby has this little hair swirl that never lays quite right on top of her head. And you look at your partner, at the way they tuck their hand in their pocket or their hair behind their ear. You know how their eyes twinkle when you're both thinking the same thing.
